Questions/Problems
- How
long do we have to pay the pledge?
The maximum length is three years although it
can be paid off at any time except for the donation plan involving 10 persons,
who would pay the $100 or less at one time.
- Is the
donation/pledge tax deductible?
It
is 80% tax deductible on the Federal income tax. In addition the State allows a maximum of
$100 per individual and $200 for a couple.
The Purdue Foundation which is collecting the monies is tax deductible;
the BOILERmaker NETwork is not.
- How
will the monies be recognized?
Each
person who donates any amount will have her/his name in alphabetical order on
the wall by the ticket office. The BOILERmaker NETwork will have a plaque
placed by the office of the Director of Operations for Purdue women’s
basketball stating that we have sponsored the office. If more than $25,000 is raised, there are
other naming opportunities.
- If the
Coach comes to us for help with unexpected needs, will this drive prevent
us from helping her?
No,
the drive involves new monies and will not come from our current monies which
have a fairly comfortable excess that could be used for a special need.
- Why is the Director of Basketball
Operations important to the NETwork?
The Director of Operations is our contact with Purdue
women’s basketball. She meets with the
board, secures items for give away on the buses and receptions, coordinates the
dates of the receptions with the Coach, etc.
She makes things happen whenever we need help. For the NETwork the Director of Basketball
Operations is the face for Purdue women’s basketball because she works with us
on a daily basis.
